On Saturday, when people of Jewish religion in Israel were planning to celebrate the holiday, the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas fired thousands of rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. With this, Hamas fighters entered the Israeli border. During this period, Hamas has also claimed to have taken many Israeli civilians and soldiers hostage.
