What is DIGIPIN?
DIGIPIN
DIGIPIN (Digital Postal Index Number) is a new digital address system introduced by India Post in a collaboration with IIT Hyderabad and ISRO. It provides exact location of any 4m x 4m place. DIGIPIN is a combinition of 10 alphanumeric characters. After introduction of DIGIPIN there will be no need of writing complete address of your location. Anyone can reach at your location using this 10 character’s alphanumeric unique DIGITAL PIN Code- DIGIPIN.
Use of DIGIPIN
You would have faced a problem while sharing your location on WhatsApp? Because we can not share our location verbally on telephonic call or WhatsApp. Therefore whenever we have to share our location we just share a link of our location. But, now in case of sharing our location through DIGIPIN we don’t need to share any link we, just need to share our unique DIGITAL PIN Code.

How to Generate DIGIPIN?
Open your internet browser and type the given link below:
Alertnately you can click on the given link to generate DIGIPIN of your location.
On clicking or searching above address following window will appear. Click on 'I Consent'
After clicking on 'I Consent' you will be redirected to following page. Allow your location request
After your permission your DIGIPIN will be generated within few seconds which you can find at the right bottom of your webpage.
Now your DIGIPIN (Digital Pin Code) has been generated, which you can use to share with friends and relatives. In the upcoming time the same DIGIPIN can be used to deliver your letter, parcel and courier etc.
